With our mission of connecting the dots in fintech, B-Hive launched a series of roadshows in 2018 to build bridges between key European fintech hubs. Our last stop before Digital Finance Europe 2018 is Amsterdam - just in time for Money 20/20 Europe. The Netherlands’ favorable business environment it a logical next expansion point for fintech companies based in Belgium or just moving to Belgium.

The Netherlands is truly a world-class business destination. By means of excellent positions in international rankings, the Dutch business qualities are globally recognized. In 2018, the World Bank grants the Netherlands 32th on 190 countries for the Ease of Doing Business. The same year, Forbes’ ranking offers the 3th position to the Dutch Economy in terms of business friendliness, after the UK and New Zealand but before Sweden and Canada.

In term of competitiveness, Netherlands places itself in the international top 5. The 2017-2018 Global Competitiveness Index of the World Economic Forum ranked the country 4th on 137 nations.

As illustrated in the attached scoreboard, the Netherlands stands out on every pillars. Noticeably, the country belong to the worldwide top 10 in term of infrastructure, health and primary education, higher education and training, goods market efficiency, technological readiness, business sophistication and innovation.
