We’re excited to announce the official launch of our hub in Tel Aviv!
B-Hive Israel will promote the bridge between Israeli and Belgian fintech, growth and scale-up companies, with a focus on cybertech, cyber security and privacy innovation in Israel.
This bridge will not only connect Israeli companies to our diverse and valuable network, but will also work as a gateway, offering the chance to access the vast potential of conducting business in the Eurozone.
This past week, we formally launched during an event at the Residence of the Ambassador of Belgium to Israel.
Ahead of this event, not only did the Belgian Minister of Finance Johan Van Overtveldt and B-Hive’s Chairman Fabian Vandenreydt give insightful speeches at the Fintech Junction conference, but Mr. Van Overtveldt and the Israeli Minister of Finance Moshe Kahlon also had a private meeting later in the afternoon.
The evening festivities opened with a panel discussion around the B-Hive ecosystem and the aforementioned bridge between Israel and the Eurozone.
The panel was moderated by Assaf Egozi, B-Hive Israel Managing Partner, and included Philippe Wallez, Head of Retail & Private Banking ING Belgium; Yael Waisbourd-Sucary, Head of Innovation and Fintech Discount Bank; and Alan Feld, Vintage Investment Partners, Co-Founder & Managing Partner.
After a thoughtful and exciting discussion around building a bridge between B-Hive Israel and the Eurozone, the event concluded with remarks from Mr. Vandenreydt.
Of course, after our launch event, we had the chance to network with guests from the banking, investment and startup sectors from Belgium and Israel—drinks were had and conversations were buzzing throughout the evening.
With all of this said, we welcome Israel to the B-Hive ecosystem!
